A standout in Turkish restaurant interior design in the Netherlands, Ada Restaurant is a Turkish restaurant we designed in Amsterdam. We brought the city's relationship with water into the space and created an elegant, ambitious fine-dining atmosphere, making the canal view the star of the design. This was the project's fundamental starting point: the relationship with water shapes the identity of the space from start to finish, giving it an identity that draws on the city's own character.
Materials and Atmosphere in a Turkish Restaurant Interior in the Netherlands
We created a sophisticated atmosphere with dark timber, warm lighting and bold textiles, supported by rhythmic timber details on the ceiling, custom lighting and characterful wall surfaces, giving the space an identity balanced between classic and contemporary. In projects like this, atmosphere is as decisive as the food itself, so we took the same care with material choices, carrying the sophisticated language through the wall textures and floor materials so that every surface forms a harmonious whole.
Where View, Material and Light Meet
We brought together view, material and light to shape the atmosphere of the fine-dining experience. This is confirmed by a global platform listing the world's best restaurants as well, which stresses that atmosphere and spatial layout are an inseparable part of fine dining. This approach matches Ada Restaurant's design philosophy directly. We prioritised the view in the seating layout as well, arranging the tables so that the canal can be seen from every point and every guest shares the same impressive view.
Ada Restaurant, a Turkish restaurant interior in the Netherlands designed by CO Mimarlık, interprets canal culture in a contemporary language and offers a complete experience on both a visual and an emotional level. You can explore similar work on our international projects and restaurant and café projects pages. In our projects in the Netherlands, too, we carry out our restaurant interior design process with the same care.
Every detail was carefully chosen to support the sophisticated identity of the space, and lighting scenarios offer a different atmosphere from sunset into the night, so guests enjoy the same quality of fine dining at every hour. This consistency has made Ada Restaurant one of Amsterdam's notable Turkish restaurants; in short, it is tangible proof of how we express Turkish restaurant culture in the Netherlands through spatial language.
