Interior Architecture Projects

Since 1993, CO Mimarlık has completed more than 400 projects in Türkiye and Europe. The interior architecture projects on this page cover a wide range, from hotels and villas to retail stores, wedding venues and a care home, which is why we manage analysis, concept, design and construction holistically in every project.

We consider the spatial layout, materials, lighting and user experience together, and carry out all our projects within the framework of professional responsibility and ethical principles defined by the Chamber of Interior Architects of Türkiye. We describe the scope of our services and our process on our Interior Architecture Service page.

Hotel Interior Design Projects

In hotel projects, we address comfort, operational efficiency and the character of the space together. At Provia Hotel, in Heiligenhaus, Germany, we brought hotel comfort together with the warmth of home. Similarly, at Lale Butik Hotel, in Sapanca, we brought the natural landscape inside, and in 2012 we renovated the public areas of Taksim Square Hotel, drawing inspiration from Ottoman palace architecture.

Residential and Villa Interiors

In residential interior projects, we put the family's way of life at the heart of the design. At Murat C. House, in Çeşme, we integrated the Aegean stone texture with the interior, pool and landscape, while at Tankut Y. House, in Kemalpaşa, Bursa, we adapted the character of an English country house to life on a horse farm.

Retail and Commercial Interiors

In commercial spaces, we see design as a tool that strengthens brand identity and the sales experience. At Butikko, on Tunalı Hilmi, we created a boutique shopping experience built on warm timber surfaces and custom display solutions.

Entertainment, Sports and Social Venues

Spaces that manage crowds and carry energy require special planning. At Dorock XL, in Beşiktaş, we placed the stage at the centre of the layout. At the Rollhouse branches in Ankara, we brought bowling, billiards, a bar and a restaurant under one roof. Finally, at Neo Life Sports Centre, in Çayyolu, we turned a top floor into a sports facility where the fitness area, indoor pool, sauna and steam room come together on one level.

Wedding and Event Venue Interiors

In wedding venues, light, materials and guest flow shape the memory of the day. For Taç Mahal in Bursa, we designed the Gold Hall in 2013, followed in 2016 by a brighter interpretation, the Silver Hall. At Lena’s, in İncek, by contrast, we created a warm, intimate atmosphere, deliberately leaving out the classic white-and-gold hall aesthetic.

Interior Architecture for Care and Health Buildings

In care buildings, safety, accessibility and comfort form the basis of the design. At Ihlamur Konağı Care Home, we addressed function, social life and spatial identity together.

Restaurant and Café Interiors

Restaurant and café venues hold an important place among our interior architecture projects. You can find our work in this field on the Restaurant and Café Projects page. We describe the scope of our services in detail on our Restaurant Design page. We also have extensive experience in architectural projects and international projects too.

Frequently Asked Questions About Interior Architecture

What types of interior architecture projects does CO Mimarlık do?
We provide interior architecture services for hotels, villas, retail stores, wedding venues, sports centres, care homes, restaurants and cafés. We have worked at different scales, from Lale Butik Hotel in Sapanca to Murat C. House in Çeşme, and from Neo Life Sports Centre in Ankara to the Taç Mahal wedding venues in Bursa.

How does your interior architecture process work?
We start a design not by adding, but by listening: to the voice of the space, the brand and the life that will unfold there. We carry out the process in five stages — analysis, concept, design, construction and outcome. We manage all our projects within the professional and ethical principles of the Chamber of Interior Architects of Türkiye.

How is the interior architecture fee determined?
We price each project according to its scope and the level of work it requires, not only per square metre. We also use the minimum fee scales of the Chamber of Interior Architects as a reference, but ultimately the final fee is determined by the conditions of each project.

Is the first meeting or site survey charged?
All meetings at our office are free of charge, as are site surveys within Istanbul. Site surveys outside Istanbul and abroad are charged.

How long does an interior architecture project take?
The design phase takes about 30 days on average, while the construction period depends on the scale and scope of the space. In restaurant projects, for example, it usually takes 90–150 days from start to opening, including design.

What do we receive from the project?
We prepare the preliminary design, construction drawings and 3D visualisations. Depending on the agreement, we also provide site supervision as an additional service.

Do you offer turnkey construction?
Yes. We work with three models: project and site coordination, partial turnkey and full turnkey. With full turnkey, we take the space from its raw state and hand it over complete and ready to use, including furniture, curtains, lighting and decorative elements.

Can you design within our budget?
Yes. We assess every design decision together with the investment goals and budget. Good design should consider the functionality and comfort of a space as well as its aesthetics.

Do you produce custom furniture and lighting?
Yes. Most of our furniture and lighting designs are custom-made for each project. We have them produced in Türkiye, ship them abroad when needed and deliver them installed.

Do you take on renovation projects for existing spaces?
Yes. We follow the same analysis sequence whether a space is new or being renovated. At Taksim Square Hotel, for example, we reinterpreted the public areas in 2012 without altering the existing building.

Do you take on both architecture and interiors?
Yes. Having the same team handle architecture and interiors strengthens a building's identity. At Deniz Apt. in Kalamış and Aylin Y.B. House in Burhaniye, we managed the entire process from the architectural project to the interiors. We also prepared the architectural and interior projects of Tankut Y. House in Kemalpaşa, Bursa, together; the project is moving into construction.

How do you follow a project in another city?
When site supervision is included, we follow the site through regular visits. On a project in Fethiye, for example, we spent 15–20 days on site over 7 visits and also checked quantities and progress payments.

Which cities and countries do you work in?
From our studio in Moda, Kadıköy, we run projects in many cities across Türkiye and in Europe. Abroad, we have completed many projects, mainly in the Netherlands and Germany among others.

Who follows the permit and approval processes?
Following up permit and approval applications with the authorities is the client's responsibility, while we handle revisions and corrections to the project. We plan the project schedule together, taking these processes into account.
