In Amsterdam, we developed a restaurant and café design in the Netherlands for BeyMen. Warm timber surfaces, natural textures and characterful lighting bring the brand's sophisticated identity together with a warm, inviting atmosphere, a balance that is the project's most distinctive quality. Our aim was to bring café and restaurant use together under one roof, which also keeps the space active throughout the day.
Restaurant and Café Design in Amsterdam: Materials and Lighting
We used dense planted textures on the ceiling and rhythmic lighting to give the space a strong visual character, and created different seating areas that adapt to changing scenarios throughout the day. In an Amsterdam restaurant and café interior, this flexibility makes it possible to welcome different guests at every hour. We kept the materials and floor finishes consistent with this warm, flexible language.
Brand Identity and the Turkish Business Community in the Netherlands
We addressed brand identity, materials and lighting together, shaping the restaurant and café experience as a whole and designing every detail in a language that suits the brand's character. As the umbrella organisation of Turkish businesses in the Netherlands also shows, this community is strong and well established. A project like BeyMen Osdorp is therefore not only a space design; it also represents a brand that is part of this strong business community.
We planned the seating layout for groups of different sizes and designed lighting scenarios to support transitions through the day, so guests feel the same consistency from morning coffee to dinner. Abroad, too, we make our restaurant interior design decisions together with local habits of use.
