Pub Meydan is a pub we designed in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. In this pub design project, we built the character of the space with copper tones, warm timber surfaces, metal details and rhythmic lighting, and treated the bar and seating areas as a single layout centred on social gathering.
Pub Design: Spatial Layout and Material Language
We positioned the bar counter to speed up service flow, so guests also become part of the venue's energy. The bar and seating areas work together like a single room, without being cut off from each other, and the seating layout makes room for both large groups and twosomes. The hardness of the metal balances the warmth of the copper and timber.
Copper tones reflect the light and give the room a warm glow. Timber surfaces soften this glow and give the space an intimate texture, while metal details create a sturdy, practical frame around the bar. Every material has both a visual and a functional role.
A Pub Design from Day to Night
By day, the material language creates a calm atmosphere; in the evening, rhythmic lighting gives the space a livelier identity. This way Pub Meydan appeals to different guests at different times of day. This flexibility matters for the business too, because the same room suits both afternoon meet-ups and the late-night crowd.
A Pub Design in Beşiktaş
Beşiktaş is one of Istanbul's liveliest nightlife districts, so Pub Meydan needed to stand out on a busy street with its own character. The warm material palette and rhythmic light set the venue apart from its neighbours while offering guests who step inside a familiar, relaxed atmosphere.
Our Approach to Pub Design
The pub culture, rooted in England, places the bar at the heart of the space. That is why we plan the position of the bar counter, the service flow and the seating layout together, then build the brand's character through materials and light. Finally, we follow construction closely to make sure the design is realised on site without compromise. In short, a good pub is a meeting place where guests feel at home.
