6:45 Kaybedenler Kulübü is a family of brands bringing bars, pubs and live music together under one roof. In this bar and pub design project, CO Mimarlık designed the venues for the brand's 6:45, 6:45 Trip and 6:45 Pub concepts. Our starting point was the rebellious spirit of Kaybedenler Kulübü ("The Losers' Club"), born in Kadıköy, and 6:45's distance from the race to win.
Bar and Pub Design: One Language
6:45 Kaybedenler Kulübü is about more than a bar: it is a meeting place that produces its own culture and memory. That is why we built the venues as an architectural language whose key words are music, stage, graphic elements and raw materials, so all three concepts carry the same character at different scales.
Live Music: Stage, Bar Counter and Light
In a live music bar, the stage and the bar counter have to work together, so we treated them as parts of the same layout. Band performances find a strong atmosphere under purple stage lights; high stools and a long counter bring the audience closer to the stage; circular illuminated bar fronts and bottle shelves make the bar the focus of light. Finally, the "LET'S ROCK & ROLL" lettering on the wall and the hand-written "DON'T PANIC" note complete the spirit.
Pub Design: Black Steel, Colour and Street Language at 6:45 Pub
At 6:45 Pub, we combined black steel frames with yellow banquettes, while mint-green and yellow chairs add colour. A red handprinted "6:45" wall and a graffitied portrait column bring street language inside, and neon-green circular bar fronts strengthen the night-time atmosphere. Acoustic performances and candlelight turn the venue into an intimate listening space, and the yellow "6:45 Pub" façade makes it memorable from the street.
Our Approach to Bar and Pub Design
Every brand calls for a different solution according to its culture. That is why we first decode the brand's language and target audience, then plan the concept, materials and lighting and follow construction closely. In bars and pubs, this also includes the bar counter and service flow, stage visibility, acoustics and an atmosphere that changes through the night, with budget and operational flow part of every decision.
