BALIKÇIKÖY FAHRİ

ÇAYYOLU, ANKARA / 2011

Balıkçıköy balık restoranı tasarımı – ahşap sandalyeler ve tente tavanlı salon, Çayyolu Ankara | CO Mimarlık

BALIKÇIKÖY FAHRİ

Balıkçıköy Fahri, which we designed in Çayyolu, Ankara, is an award-winning example of fish restaurant design that stands out for its natural textures and original details. The project was Highly Commended in the Leisure Interior Turkey category of the European Property Awards Interior Design 2013–2014, international recognition that confirms the quality and originality of its design.

Balıkçıköy Fish Restaurant Design: Materials and Texture

Timber surfaces, abundant planting and decorative details reminiscent of craftsmanship accompany the space, while colourful lighting gives it a warm character and an inviting atmosphere. The strong relationship between inside and outside turns the restaurant experience into one connected with nature, a bond that directly enriches the guest experience in a fish restaurant. We kept the materials consistent with this natural language.

An Award-Winning Design Approach

Materials, light and planting create Balıkçıköy's distinctive atmosphere. Every material was chosen to support it, and the lighting scheme was designed to add to the warmth of the space. As a respected organisation behind international property and interior design awards also notes, original use of materials and a consistent design language are what award-winning projects have in common, and this recognition confirms the quality of Balıkçıköy's design.

We planned the seating areas for groups of different sizes and spread planting into every corner, so guests enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. You can explore similar work on our restaurant and café projects page. We kept the same natural language in the outdoor seating areas too. In Ankara, take a look at our Martı Balık project and our restaurant design service as well.

At Balıkçıköy Fahri, CO Mimarlık developed a fish restaurant design in Çayyolu that combines materials, light and planting in a single spatial experience. In short, the project embodies an original design approach recognised by an international award, a tangible example of natural character and award-winning design quality coming together.
