CUP & POT MEYDAN BEŞİKTAŞ

ISTANBUL / 2023

Kahveci iç mimarisi – ahşap bar ve sıcak tonlu salon, Cup & Pot Meydan Beşiktaş | CO Mimarlık

This project is an example of coffee shop interior design that we developed within the Meydan concept in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. CUP & POT brings the coffee experience together with a social, dynamic spatial layout. At the heart of the design is the idea of an atmosphere that brings different people together at different times of day.

Materials and Lighting in Coffee Shop Interior Design

Curved seating, timber surfaces and dark metal details accompany the space, while spherical lights spread throughout give it a brand-specific identity with a rhythmic, characterful language. This is reflected by current standards set by the global coffee industry too: coffee venues are no longer just points of consumption, and today we design them as community experiences. This approach matches CUP & POT's design philosophy directly. We kept the same warm language in the materials, floor finishes and furniture, and chose a colour palette that supports this warm, inviting atmosphere.

Indoor–Outdoor Continuity

The continuity between indoor and outdoor areas connects CUP & POT to the social life of the square, turning it into a lively meeting point. The space appeals both to individuals stopping by for a morning coffee and to groups who want to socialise in the evening, so different visitors find a corner that suits them throughout the day, supported by a varied seating layout. You can explore similar work on our restaurant and café projects page. In coffee venues, too, we prioritise service flow, drawing on our experience as restaurant interior designers for hospitality brands.

CO Mimarlık developed an original coffee shop interior design for CUP & POT. The design brings together coffee culture, social interaction and a contemporary spatial experience, integrating the venue naturally into the daily rhythm of Beşiktaş Meydan. This unity creates a characterful, consistent identity that every visitor feels from the moment they step inside. Carrying a different energy in the morning, afternoon and evening, the space appeals to a wide audience thanks to its versatility. In short, the project is a tangible example of coffee culture reinterpreted in a spatial language.
