This project is an example of boutique hotel design that engages with the natural setting of Sapanca. Lale Butik Hotel approaches hospitality through a warm, characterful spatial layout that feels like home, making Sapanca's natural landscape part of the space.
Materials and Texture in Boutique Hotel Design
Inside, natural materials, timber details, textured textiles and characterful decorative elements come together, moving away from a standard hotel atmosphere to create a more personal, layered living space. As curated platforms showcasing boutique and design-led hotels worldwide also show, personality and local character lead today's hospitality trends. That is why we brought the natural landscape inside through large glazed surfaces, and designed the shared areas as social spaces where guests can spend long hours. Earth tones in the colour palette and natural floor materials support this natural texture, keeping the same unity in every corner.
A Relationship with Sapanca's Nature
The project's core approach is clear: to turn Sapanca's nature-immersed hospitality into a warm, inviting boutique hotel atmosphere, felt in every corner of the space. Guests experience not just a room but a complete stay that reflects the region's natural character. We prioritised this natural context in the material choices and kept the same intimate atmosphere in the furniture layout of the shared areas. At Lale Butik Hotel, CO Mimarlık brought together natural materials, characterful details and regional context to develop an original boutique hotel design that offers a warm, memorable stay respectful of Sapanca's nature, a warmth guests feel the moment they walk in. Over time the hotel has become a reference for hospitality in harmony with the region's nature; every room carries the same natural material language and warm atmosphere, and in the morning large windows bring the view of Lake Sapanca into the experience.
