Completed in Mamak, Ankara, in 2018, this shisha café designoffers a warm, inviting meeting place. We brought large glazed surfaces, velvet textures and timber tables together under one roof, creating a relaxed atmosphere for long conversations. We brought more than thirty years of restaurant design experience to this project too. In venues like this, guests expect to sit and talk for hours, so we put comfort and atmosphere first.
Shisha Café Design: Colour and Texture
Turquoise velvet chairs and patterned armchairs give the space a rich texture, made more vivid by the dark flooring, while timber tables add warmth and colourful flowers bring life to the dark tones. Table lamps and chandeliers spread a soft light in the evening, and the seating is sized for long, comfortable stays, helping guests feel at home.
Glazed Façade and Seating
Large glazed surfaces open the space to the street and daylight, with a black-framed glazing system giving the building a clean, contemporary line and an awning above balancing light and the open-air feel. A banquette and planters along the wall form a natural boundary without dividing the room, and tables of different sizes suit both small and large groups, so visitors find a corner for both conversation and rest.
Ventilation and the Legal Framework
Ventilation is one of the most critical issues in a shisha café: a well-designed system that keeps smoke and smell away directly affects guest comfort. The business must also comply with Turkish Law No. 4207 on tobacco control, which is why we consider ventilation, seating layout and façade decisions together during design.
Our Approach to Shisha Café Design
In every project we first listen to the business concept and target audience, then plan the layout, materials and lighting, and finally follow construction closely, keeping the budget and operational flow in view throughout, so a space that looks elegant also works efficiently and the venue you envisaged is built to the quality of the drawings.
