PASTANNECİM, which we designed in Acıbadem, Istanbul, is a strong example of patisserie interior design that brings an industrial texture together with a warm patisserie atmosphere. Completed in 2017, the project created both an inviting seating area and an eye-catching display.
Industrial Texture and Warm Light in Patisserie Interior Design
Here we brought together steel frames, dark flooring and timber tables, while pendant bulbs give the room a warm, intimate light and large glazed surfaces bring in daylight, so the space feels airy by day and softer in the evening. Light and material are the first two things a guest notices in a patisserie, and an industrial interior always risks feeling cold, so we struck the balance with timber and warm light.
Plants and Natural Textures Soften the Space
Plants placed throughout the room soften the hardness of the metal frames, balancing the industrial language with natural textures. Green tones work in harmony with the patisserie's warm palette, helping guests feel at ease.
Display, Service and Seating
The display is a patisserie's most powerful means of communication, so we integrated the product display into the flow of the room, with timber and metal details bringing out the colours of the products. In the seating area we placed tables for different group sizes, and the staircase to the upper floor adds depth to the room, so every area supports easy movement.
Our Approach to Patisserie Interior Design
Every patisserie calls for a different solution depending on its brand and customers. That is why we first analyse the product, the target audience and the conditions of the space, then define the concept and material palette, and finally follow construction closely, so the idea on paper is realised on site at the same quality.
