At PepperMill, restaurant design in Çayyolu builds a contemporary, original spatial language. CO Mimarlık designed the project in Çayyolu, Ankara, in 2003, bringing a fresh perspective to the restaurants of the time and making PepperMill a strong restaurant project that carried the brand's dynamic identity into the space, an identity that shows in the materials, the light and the seating.
Restaurant Design in Çayyolu and Brand Identity
At PepperMill, brand identity is not just a graphic element: the team built it through the materials, light and way the space is used, so the restaurant directly reflects the brand's dynamic nature. This approach makes PepperMill / I one of our early examples, with the brand present on every surface and identity guiding the restaurant experience.
Warm Timber, Glass and Metal Details
Warm timber surfaces give the space an intimate feel, while glass and metal details add a contemporary character, striking a balance that is warm yet contemporary, completed by characteristic lighting. Light brings out the texture of the materials, and materials and light work together so that no surface stands alone. The result is a warm yet contemporary atmosphere.
Restaurant Design in Çayyolu: Different Seating Areas
The restaurant offers different seating areas that support its social character and adapt to different ways of use. The seating areas share the same material language, and the lighting ties them into a single whole, so the restaurant feels coherent rather than scattered, with every area carrying the brand's dynamic feel.
An Early Example: Brand and Space
In 2003, PepperMill / I established a contemporary restaurant language that brought a fresh perspective to the restaurants of the time. The project is one of the early examples of CO Mimarlık's brand-focused restaurant design approach; the second branch, PepperMill / II, continued this line in Emek in 2006. In short, the first branch was a strong start to the relationship between brand and space.
