Yosun Balık, completed in Gaziosmanpaşa in 2013, is a strong example of fish restaurant design in Ankara that takes the restaurant experience beyond the walls of the dining room. A generous terrace, abundant planting and timber surfaces connect the space with nature, creating a restaurant that breathes in the middle of the city. The restaurant shows a different face at every hour, so we considered light and texture together from the first stage.
Fish Restaurant Design in Ankara: Terrace and Nature
On the terrace, we placed fishbone-shaped lights among the trees, giving the terrace a distinctive rhythm at night. By day the atmosphere is airy; in the evening it becomes warm and inviting, with hanging strings of lights adding intimacy to dinner. Trees and plants bring the open air right up to the tables, and spring flowers on the terrace add seasonal colour.
Timber, White Brick and Wine Racks in the Dining Room
Inside, we combined white brick walls with a timber floor. Timber-framed glass partitions divide the room without breaking its unity, and wine racks on the wall give it a warm focal point. Tables with white cloths and chairs with red cushions create a simple elegance, a long table offers an easy solution for group dinners, and a textured ceiling with concealed lighting adds depth. This palette keeps the room warm yet simple, and natural textures help guests focus on their meal.
