Interior Architecture Service

A complete interior architecture service

At CO Mimarlık, we have worked from our studio in Moda, Kadıköy since 1993. In that time we have completed more than 400 projects in Türkiye and Europe, mainly in the Netherlands and Germany. On this page we explain what our interior architecture service covers. From homes and villas to offices and retail stores, from restaurants and bars to hotels and wedding venues, we begin every space with analysis. We also carry out all our projects in line with the professional and ethical principles of the Chamber of Interior Architects of Türkiye. You can explore our completed work on our Interior Architecture Projects page.

Every interior architecture project begins with analysis

We start a design not by adding, but by listening. First, we study the space, its users and their daily life. Then we clarify the budget and investment goals. Because the right analysis guides every decision that follows, so that layout, materials and light all speak the same language. We follow the same order whether the space is new or being renovated.

What does interior design include?

Interior design is the sum of decisions on layout, circulation, light, acoustics, materials and furniture. In a hotel, for example, the guest's route to the room matters as much as the comfort of the room itself. Likewise, in a home the kitchen may be where the family comes together. That is why we plan every element together from the start. On top of that, we custom-design most of the furniture and lighting for each project.

Which spaces do we design?

Our interior architecture service covers a wide range of space types. In hospitality, we have worked on Provia Hotel, Lale Butik Hotel and Taksim Square Hotel. In residential work, Murat C. House and Tankut Y. House stand out. Our work also includes retail stores such as Butikko and sports centres such as Neo Life as well as wedding venues such as Taç Mahal and Lena’s in Bursa and Ankara. At Ihlamur Konağı, we designed a care home for the elderly. Our strongest references, however, are in restaurant, café, bar and pub projects. For these, take a look at our Restaurant Design page.

Interior architecture from concept to construction

We first prepare the concept and the preliminary design. Then we deliver the construction drawings and 3D visualisations. Furniture and lighting are custom-made by the manufacturers we work with. Depending on the agreement, we can also take on site supervision as an additional service. This way the interior architecture service does not stay on paper; it is carried onto the site at the same quality.

Who do we work with?

We work with families who want to renovate their home or villa. We also support hotel investors and retail brands, and manage projects for businesses investing abroad; Provia Hotel in Germany is one example of this experience. As a result, we bring the experience of more than 400 projects to every scale.

01

Our Process

We start a design not by adding, but by listening, and carry out the process in five stages.

Analysis: We listen to the space, its users, the budget and the goals.

Concept: Then we define the story of the space and its design language.

Design: We compose colour, texture, material, light and detail.

Construction: We make sure decisions are realised on site without compromise.

Outcome: Finally, we hand over a space that is ready to use and has an identity of its own. Read more about our approach on our About Us page.

02

Design Phase: 30 Days on Average

We complete the design in about 30 days on average; the construction period depends on the scale of the space.

In this phase, the concept, preliminary design, construction drawings and 3D visualisations are prepared. The construction period is then planned according to the size of the space and the chosen service model. In restaurant projects, for example, it usually takes 90–150 days from start to opening.

03

Project-Based Fees

We set fees according to the scope of the project, not only per square metre.

We price each project according to its scope and the level of work it requires, and we also use the minimum fee scales of the Chamber of Interior Architects as a reference. Ultimately, however, the final fee is determined by the conditions of each project. After the first meeting, we prepare a proposal tailored to your project.

Our Service Models: From Design to Turnkey

We don't just draw the design; depending on your needs, we take on part or all of the construction.

Design + Site Coordination

You sign the contractor agreements; as an additional service, depending on the agreement, we follow up on site to make sure the design is built correctly.

İki Duble · İsli Közlü

Partial Turnkey

We have the furniture, decorative elements and custom lighting manufactured and deliver them installed; local teams carry out the site works, which we coordinate.

BeyMen Dortmund · BeyMen Steak Amsterdam

Full Turnkey

The whole team and all the works are our responsibility; from design to handover, we are your single point of contact.

Aylin Y.B. House · OT Kafe Çanakkale

Of course, every project has different conditions. We decide together, during the process, how much responsibility we take on in construction.

Depending on the scope, the time from project start to opening usually ranges from 90 to 150 days. In commercial spaces we think not only about the space but also about the business. Having worked with dozens of hospitality businesses, we spot gaps in service flow and operating systems at the design stage and bring in specialists when needed.
